
In the coming weeks and months, Chevrolet will enhance the range of its brand new 2013 Malibu with several new models. Following the launch of the mild-hybrid Malibu Eco with a 2.4-liter eAssist engine earlier this year, starting from this summer, GM will add the base LS priced from $22,390 or $23,150 if you include a $760 destination fee (*), along with its better equipped LT and LTZ siblings. The LS, LT and LTZ are all powered by a new Ecotec 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 197-hp. Chevrolet says it expects these models to return a highway fuel economy in the mid-30 mpg.
