Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse promo video

Bugatti has created and released the official promotional video of its new Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse – the world’s fastest production convertible.

According to Bugatti, its latest supercar will jump from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds and pass a speed of 124mph (that’s almost 200km) in 7.1 seconds. The vehicle can reach a top speed of 255mph – that’s just 13 mph shy of the world record breaking Veyron Super Sport’s Vmax.

This is not entirely surprising considering that the Vitesse received the same engine tuning as the Veyron Super Sport which means an an 8.0-litre, quad-turbo W-16 engine good for 1,200 horsepower and 1,106 pound-feet of torque. The standard Grand Sport chassis has been reinforced to cope with the additional power, which comes courtesy of larger turbos.

Pricing on the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse starts at a cool $2.3 million.

Citroen DS5 Does the bold new family car deliver on the promise of its looks?

It’s not fairly often a replacement automobile comes along that creates you shout out ‘wow’. however the Citroen DS5 isn’t like the rest on the road. it's additional sort of a one-off motor show concept than one thing you'll get.

The interior is even more dazzling than the exterior, plus it feels great – definitely Citroen’s best quality yet. Everything you touch oozes class: the dash is made from a material so soft that a passenger airbag probably isn’t necessary; the watch-strap-style ‘Club’ optional leather seats resemble those in a Ferrari and the solid metal door handles are like pieces of modern art.

The DS5 is cool – so cool that you want to fall in love with it. But will it break your heart? We found the Hybrid4 version flawed when we drove it in December 2011. Fortunately the diesel is much better. It’s quiet, smooth and, thanks to a nice spread of thrust, delivers strong performance. Economy and emissions impress, too.

It’s simply a shame that the slick six-speed gearbox is that the solely a part of the DS5 expertise which is able to please keen drivers. The steering is therefore imprecise it feels as if the wheel is connected to the rack by a slinky spring, whereas the wallowy handing isn't any match for a Ford Mondeo, plus cars just like the BMW three Series, that the high worth puts the DS5 in direct competition with.

Obviously, this being a Citroen, the trade-off is a ride as smooth as melted chocolate, right? Sadly not. Even though the car feels softly sprung, the suspension crashes over bumps.
If you spend most of your time on the motorway, none of this will be an issue. However, in the cold light of a daily commute, the novelty of the DS5 soon wears off – and what you thought was love turns out to be lust.

There is a reason road cars don’t look like concepts: the design on the outside demands compromises inside. And you’ll soon become irritated by the Citroen’s limited rear headroom, split back window, awkward button layouts, tiny glovebox and useless cup-holders.

When you drive one thing with less ‘wow’ issue – sort of a Volkswagen CC – you realise one thing the Germans have known for ages: boring works.

Chrysler introducing wireless charging mat

Chrysler has announced that it will offer wireless charging in its new 2013 Dodge Dart.

Provided that mobile phones are fitted with a special case, the charger will work with MP3 players and iPhone, Android and BlackBerry devices.

The official press release explains that ”easy access, a seamlessly integrated power bin, measuring 8.27 inches by 9.5 inches by 3.25 inches, is installed just below the center stack and in front of the center console. The bin has a built-in charging grid that is activated when customers place in their battery-powered device. The unit begins to charge when the vehicle is started.”

The Pentastar claims that the new accessory, developed by Mopar, is the first of its kind although wireless charging has been offered as a third-party solution for some time now. However, this is the first such offering from an official branch of an OEM. Rather than a factory option, the new wireless charging hardware is offered as a dealer-installed accessory. This means that buyers will either have to pay for installation or do it themselves.

Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group LLC’s service, parts and customer-care brand said that ”At Mopar, we look for every single opportunity to make our customers’ lives easier. Our industry-first in-vehicle wireless charging system is the perfect solution for those connected customers who are always on the go.”

Chrysler will be introducing the new technology throughout its dealers in the U.S.  - now that is a first.

Justin Bieber Wraps His Fisker Karma In Chrome

We figured it wouldn’t be long before Justin Bieber would do something to the Fisker Karma he received as a birthday gift from his manager recently but a chrome wrap from West Coast Customs is honestly the last thing we would’ve expected.

The Fisker Karma looked good before he turned it into this cheap looking aluminum can.  All we can say is that when Justin see’s the Karma that 503 Motoring is working on he’ll be thinking twice.

And if’ we’re not mistaken are those are led light-strips on the bottom side of the car. What are your thoughts on this?

Bubba’s 2008 Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series is up for grabs on eBay with a buy it now of $84,500. The CLK has been completely upgraded with all of the best in Renntech modifications.
