Lamborghini Aventador LP760-4 Dragon Edition by Oakley Design and Refined Marques

Lamborghini Aventador LP760-4 Dragon Edition

We’ve already given you a few choice details for the Lamborghini Aventador LP760-4 Dragon Edition. Now we have a set of official details, provided by Refined Marques to share with you. Of course, underneath it shares common parts with the previously announced Oakley Design Lamborghini Aventador LP760-2, however, the customer opted for a few extra parts.

To start with the aerodynamic parts, Oakley Design provided a set of carbon fiber parts. This include a central front chin spoiler, increased in length to provide more down force. The Dragon Edition is fitted with parts that increase the front intake making it wider for increased airflow and cooling, the side sill intakes are also opened up for more airflow and cooling and the rear bumper vents are larger to extract more hot air. The diffuser has extended vanes for better stability at high speed and the rear spoiler has been set at 15 degrees for optimised down force to drag ratio and increased top speed. Finally, the top air box intakes are opened up to feed the engine with an increased ram air effect.

Carbon fiber parts include an exposed roof section, ‘C’ pillars, the top section of the bonnet in front of ‘A’ pillars, the mirror covers, the engine bay kit, the kick plates and the side sill lower vents. Bespoke parts ordered for the first production vehicle include orange stitching applied to interior panels and seats, orange dragons emblems on the top of the door panels, orange Dragon Edition ’1 of 10' identifiers on kick plates, painted orange brake calipers and our favourite, a chrome blue exterior body wrap which covers matte black paintwork.

Mechanically, the customer decided to retain the factory four-wheel drive system. Oakley Design’s upgrades have been applied to the engine management system and a titanium exhaust muffler system has been fitted which weighs only 6kgs. Finally, the tailpipes have been finished with a Refined Marques laser etched tip!

The upgrades have all been tested at Mira’s full scale aerodynamic wind tunnel so they are proven to be effective. The wheels have been sourced through HRE Wheels. They are HRE P40SC’s measuring 19×9.5 at the front and 20×13 at the rear, finished in gloss black.

Power figures have been measured at 683hp and 524lb-ft of torque for previous Aventador LP760 conversions. Power figures for this Aventador conversion have not been released, however, we expect them to be similar! Special thanks to Refined Marques for providing the information.

Interview: Victoria Beckham Designs Special Edition Range Rover Evoque

Our friend Brett Burk from Vanity Fair recently sat down with Victoria Beckham to talk cars, design, life with David, her very first car and more. Since 2010, Victoria has been a creative design executive for Land Rover. Just recently, her Special Edition Range Rover Evoque with Victoria Beckham was finally unveiled. Each car will come with a matte-gray finish with glossy black accents and baseball-stitched leather interior.

This is definitely one Evoque we could get used to! The car even comes with a four-piece black-leather luggage set. Victoria definitely has style.

Victoria Beckham Range Rover Evoque

Here’s a glimpse at the Q&A between Brett and Victoria:

Brett Berk: Why is the Range Rover Evoque the right choice for a Victoria Beckham special edition?
Victoria Beckham: I’ve driven a Range Rover for as long as I can remember, and I have a lot of respect for Range Rover as a brand and for their heritage. So I think it feels very natural. I think that people will look at the car, and they’ll obviously see Range Rover, but they’ll also see me. It looks like me. I joked the other day—I had a matte-black crocodile structured handbag with me, and I looked at the bag and I looked at the car, and I said, “The car looks like a bag on wheels.” It’s very me. It’s very, very me.

Tell me about the rose-gold accents on the car. What inspired you to use that material?
I love rose gold. Where it initially came from was that my husband bought me a rose-gold men’s Rolex for my birthday, and at the same time, I’d used rose gold with some of my accessories for a collection, and I just thought, Hey, let’s just put a little rose-gold element behind the car. And I was adamant—I didn’t want this car to be seen as super-girly. I wanted it to be a car that I want to drive, and I wanted it to be a car that David wants to drive as well. Everything that I do has quite a masculine feel about it. Though the clothes I design are very feminine, they also have a very strong masculine feel about them. I’m feminine, but I wouldn’t say that I’m girly in any way at all.

One of the ways that we can chart the various stages in a person’s life is through their cars. So tell me about your cars. What was your first car?
My first-ever car, my parents bought me a red Fiat Uno. I was 17 and just so happy to have a car, so I was very fortunate that my parents were in a position to get me one—it was a secondhand car, but I was just so happy to have it. And my mum, to make it extra special for me, sprayed the hubcaps red.

Matching accessories.
Absolutely. And definitely an . . . acquired taste.

2012 Melkus RS2000 Black Edition

The 2012 Melkus RS2000 Black Version will be as customized and restricted in supply just like any automobile. The brand represents the full story in that there'll only be 5 of those vehicles available in this color.

Exterior & Interior

The paint job is really in a black piano lacquer for that incredible serious gloss effect that can not be duplicated in any kind of additional manor. The paint may have the depth of six layers, each individually sanded to bring out that familiar mirror kind piano black complete.

The inside will be black along with carbon components and the exact same extreme black complete applied in certain areas for the constant flow to look at.

Certainly it will have referrals to the name of this five of a kind vehicle in the stitch work.

The wing type doors whenever opened will give the effect that will this kind of sleek and sophisticated black bird is preparing for takeoff at high speeds for a good visual whenever observing the outlines and curves that shape the body.

Performance

When this comes to performance, you are searching from a 2.zero liter, four cylinder engine that will puts out an impressive 325 HP and really will probably thrust this kind of vehicle from 0 to 62 in 4.three seconds, surpassing many other people in the same class.

You can expect a top speed of roughly 168 MPH in large part due to the carbon body which reduces much of the weight for increased acceleration.

More on the Inside

The Black Edition is also going to include a full blown entertainment, navigational and informational center. The braking system is high performance and the vehicle overall will have an improvement in speed and handling compared to other versions of this model.

The 2012 Melkus RS2000 Black Edition is truly going to be a collector's item once the production stage is complete and with only 5 being sold, you can be sure it will be a cherished possession by those fortunate enough to own one.
